We started our day bright and early on the bus and started a two-hour ride to a project located in the desert community of ANCON. As we arrived we all had a new sense of energy, as we were warmly welcomed to the Hosanna Student Centre. The staff spoke to us about the amazing works they were doing at this project through the various workshops, giving the children an opportunity to learn and grow in

Isaiah 52:7 “How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns’.” To start the day we were welcomed at the CELIM Student Centre in Santa Elizabeth in the warm and gracious Peruvian style with traditional dance performances from children and their leaders. Then we were invited into the classroom for preschoolers, where

What an awesome God we know and love! Our team of 16 individuals from Harvest Oakville left Pearson Airport at 7:30am on Saturday for Lima, Peru—24 hours later we’re here. After one other group prayer on the bus to our hotel

The Voices of Heaven (Voces del Cielo) greeted us with the wonderfully loud sound of a Mariachi band as we entered the new Moviendo Esperanzas home. The band, along with National Leadership Team members and Moviendo staff surprised our birthday girl, Jo, with the band, beautiful decorations, and delicious cake. The best part was the obvious manifestation of God’s love for Jo through the Church. She had no idea she would walk in to hear

Today we visited a large busy public school named Pablo Alvarado. The school was named after the land owner who had, thirty years earlier, generously donated the land to the school. Our mission this morning was to provide Tom’s shoes to some of the children most in need from among 400 children ranging in age from 4-14 years old. Tom’s shoes has a one-for-one program and donates one pair of shoes for every pair sold. As
