Church Family Update

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”-Acts 1:8

Hope Bible Church Family,

The Lord is building His Church! Please continue to join us in prayer in seeking the face of the Lord in how He desires to build His Church for His glory. Not to us, not to us O Lord, but to Your Name give glory!

7) Leadership Update
Many of you know Jeff Armitage has served as a non-vocation elder for nearly 7 years. Jeff has been remarkably faithful, a steady presence through many seasons of ministry, and a good friend. After a summer of seeking the Lord’s direction on where best to serve next, Jeff has felt led by the Lord to step down from serving as an elder and is discerning with his wife, Jeanette, where they can best serve in the church next. The other elders are so tremendously grateful to the Lord for Jeff and for his time serving in this way. We look forward to seeing him visit us soon, as the Lord leads. Please keep Jeff and his wife Jeanette in prayer as they seek the Lord in this season of transition. They are much loved!

In the Lord’s providence, as one elder is transitioning off the board, another is transitioning on. Lucien Mubumbyi has undergone a period of examination on character, godliness, theology, and service, and have sought feedback to ensure he was above reproach (1 Tim 3). Lord willing, we will be commissioning him in the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
