Glory Story: Ray Koprowski

My Life Story

Even though I grew up in a Christian home, I did not profess Christ as my Lord and Saviour until the age of 25.  I earned my Bachelor of Education and taught in both the public and private school systems for 6 years; and during this time, the Lord made it clear that He was calling me into pastoral ministry in the church.  Since responding to His call, I have had the privilege of serving in various roles throughout my ministry years in the church and am currently finishing my Master of Theological Studies at Heritage College and Seminary.  Most recently, (2012-2015), I served as the Director of Discipleship Ministries of Harvest Bible Chapel Brampton (now Harvest Mississauga).

The Lord has also blessed me with an incredible family.  I am married to Natalie and we have been blessed with four boys: Isaac, Samuel, Micah and Caleb.  It is one of my greatest joys to see my wife and children grow in the Lord and to spend time together with them as a family going to parks, playing sports, building with lego and having movie nights.

My heart is to see God’s glory powerfully displayed in and through His church and the lives of the believers that are part of it.  My desire is that people from every tribe, nation and tongue call on the Name of the Lord to be saved and to have fanned into flame a greater passion, zeal and hunger for the gospel of Jesus Christ.  My favourite passage of Scripture that fuels this desire is Philippians 3:14, which states, “I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”  Seeing disciples made in the church to ‘press on’ to know the Lord and then seeing them in turn make other disciples through the gospel is the greatest privilege that I have had in my life.  I firmly believe with all my heart that the best days of Christ’s church are ahead of us and that God will continue to do the impossible as we seek Him in faith, dependency and humility. To Him be all the glory for what He has done and for what is to come!
